MINUTES

4^th CENTRAL MANAGEMENT MEETING

14-15 November 2013

Bari, Italy

Partners were welcomed by the hosting organization ComunicareIlSociale.it. Everything was arranged very well for the meeting.

The partners that were present during the meeting are as following:

• ComunicareIlSociale.it (Italy)
• Cibervoluntarios (Spain)
• E-Seniors (France)
• Marmara Educators Association (Turkey)
• CCMC (Cyprus)
• DIMITRA (Greece)
• STOWARZYSZENIE CENTRUM INICJATYW EDUKACYJNO-SPOLECZNYCH (Poland)

Cibervoluntarios introduced their group of leaners and presented updates on the best practices.

Takeaways from the presentation were:

• Digital broadcasting excludes many small broadcasters from expressing themselves
• Strong networks can be built
• Red Estatal de Medios Comunitarios (REMC) is a strong association of Community Media radios (especially Radio Ritmo)
• Additional thousands of journalists (and scientists) lost their jobs and formed a co-op
• Very little room for media freedoms
• Eldario.es came up with a new business model based on subscriptions
• Paid for free content from good journalists and good journalism
• Archive.org has lots of good information

Marmara Educators Association presented information about the evaluations to date

E-learning modules:

Partners discussed:

• the need for uploading links
• downloading best practices
• also to remember uploading items to the European Shared Treasure (EST) site

Platform Discussion:

All partners reviewed the Needs Analysis sent by all partner organisations. All partners confirm the results as correct. Partners agreed on four Modules with two sub-modules as the main structure for the training:

1) Media Literacy

- Working with the Media

- Media Crisis Management

2) Social Media Use and Strategies

- How to… Facebook/Twitter/Google+

- Effective blogging

3) Technical Skills and ICT Tools

- Video Production, Editing and Digital Storytelling

- Online Platform Development

4) Communications

- Information Dissemination: Newsletter Creation and Writing an Effective Press Release

- Strategic Communication and Networking

Testing of Platform:

The testing of the platform will take place during the next mobility in Athens, Greece. Partners will bring as many learners as possible to give a good analysis of the usability of the platform as well as helpful feedback.

Partners agreed to work in good coordination for the final reporting and uploading to EST.
