work on European projects
Italy

disadvantaged groups
For this project the seniors syndicate would be the main partner
These seniors syndicates exist all over Italy
Seniors looking for jobs need to learn about the use of computer and
Internet
MW
He is organizing the “salon RECRUTSENIORS “ in June in Paris
This is for professionals
Several aspects in this event :
-
Classical job search event for
seniors
-
Institutional parties will come as visitors

institutions
-

Important reference: the « white » book of Nicole Turbe-Suetens : « Continuer à
former les salariés des 45 ans et plus »
BQ
He insists on the importance , for a European project, on making :
-
Comparisons
-
recommendations
Discussion about project
Different potentially involved populations are all the people who have
trouble finding work :
-
seniors
-
unemployed under 28 or over 38
-
handicapped
-
women
The fact that people have
professional qualifications does not always change the problem of not finding a
job.
For instance, a young
qualified student might have difficulties finding a job because he lacks
experience.
A senior experienced worker
might never have used any computer…
We want to give our target
group the needed knowledge/competencies to be able to “e-work” (i.e. work at distance), no matter
if it is to :
-
easier find a job
-
find a second job
-
create some e-commerce
business
We might also offer our
services to enterprises who understood the advantage of offering e-work
possibilities to their workers.
Our project ( INCUBATOR for E-WORK) will offer to all our target group an incubator, that means a new starting point
where they will get training about the theoretical, practical and technical
aspects of e-work.
We think that “e-work” , for
instance working from home :
-
can increase productivity
-
is a modern way of working
(email instead of fax, for instance)
-
is the ideal tool for part
time jobs or consultancy tasks
-
provides a cheaper workforce
for the employer because there is no need for an office, etc…
-
more flexibility for everybody
-
can be used for a lot of professions – just a few examples
are : accounting, than just typing text
and letters, tools for CRM (customer
relationship management),…
All these advantages have to
be explained to the basically distrustful employer. One need to show him that
it is his best interest to use e-workers!
Steps of our project :
-
state of the art of “e-work”
in each of the partners countries
-
setting up an “e-work”
training package, with also some English language course
with 4 parts :
acquiring
specific technical competencies for using the computer to work at distance,
under others :
·
how to write a CV or a
presentation of your offer
·
finding potential employees or
customers on the net
learning
about new work relational tools like “communityzero” and network forums
getting
involved in a supporting network (for advices)
getting
advices about new work orientations
-
testing the results of practically using our teaching and instructions in real cases, with
the help of technical advisers
-
explaining the practical
experiences in a way to give recommendations for further use
For the LEONARDO project
We need to be at least 6 partners, if possible 8
Silvino will take Monique’s notes ( after revision by Gabriela )
And update the first version of
the project , taking into consideration our talks in Paris.
The document should give some indication about :
1. methodology
used
2. planned
activities
3. tasks
repartition among partners
The interested partners will then receive the new description of the
project and add their comment.
Everything should be ready for the 15th of February as some
countries must translate the text in their local language.
We will organize 6 work meetings
